Fionna Harper, MSMI

Fionna Harper is a graduate of the Medical Illustration Graduate Program at Augusta University (formerly the Medical College of Georgia), successfully obtaining her Master’s of Science in Medical Illustration in May 2026. Specializing in biomedical and molecular visualization, her academic background utilizes the interdisciplinary study of biology and fine arts to bridge the informational gap between the healthcare industry and the public. With a cognate in sociology, she is capable of translating complex scientific concepts to professional and lay audiences alike while maintaining both scientific accuracy and social awareness.

Fionna is passionate about the transformative capabilities that clear, engaging visuals impart upon student, professional, and public understanding of healthcare. She believes every individual has a right to affordable, accurate, and well-designed materials, whether those materials are simulation training models for future healthcare providers or patient-education materials intended to help individuals manage personal health conditions.

Her mission is to be an integral part of empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health, by using medical illustration as a tool to bridge informational gaps in medicine and science, support education, and enhance patient communication.
